I Understand My Emotions: Affirmation Reflection

I understand my emotions.

My emotions are an integral part of me and my life. My daily experiences are rooted in how I feel.

There are times when my emotions take me by surprise.

Perhaps I encounter a long-lost friend and cry with joy.

When I watch a sad movie and feel tears running down my face.

When I am with those I love, I feel elated.

It am proud when I see my children thriving and being kind to each other.

I am exhilarated when I see a project to completion and my partner praises my efforts.

I allow myself to cry when life gets hard.

I have learned that emotions are an important part of who I am. I allow myself to feel my emotions.

I occasionally read self-help books in my efforts towards self-discovery.

Uncovering new insights about my emotions helps me feel more confidence and personal satisfaction.

Today, I closely monitor how I am feeling inside. I know my feelings operate in the background of my life. My emotions provide the self-knowledge and personal strength I require to construct the life I want to live each day. It’s wonderful to know that I understand my emotions.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  1. How do I know that I really understand my emotions?

  2. In what ways do I reflect on my emotions when I experience an intense feeling or negative reaction to something?

  3. What can I do to increase my knowledge about my emotions?

I am so excited to share that I am now a published author.

Last year, I collaborated with 160+ powerful women's circle facilitators from all over the world. Together we created the Women’s Circle Ritual Handbook.
