Loving yourself through challenges and being strong takes practice, courage, and resilience. ide our comfort zone. Victimizing ourselves and allowing ourselves to feel powerless is the opposite of being resilient… and often leads to unhealthy behaviors, harmful relationships, excessive eating and/or negative exercise habits.
Obviously, being resilient is the path you want to choose… but how?! Here are my best tips on loving yourself through challenges:
Say positive affirmations each day or recognize yourself for something wonderful you did.
Do something nice for yourself, whether that’s getting a massage, taking a bath with Epsom salts, booking a manicure with your mom, or something else you love to pamper yourself.Take time for stillness. If you’ve never tried a guided meditation, maybe now’s the time! Try my favorite meditation app:
